Volunteer mealtime helper Main Purpose: To Provide transport for clients coming to stay from outside the area from their home address and return. To when necessary provide transport for inpatients and outpatients to and from The Sussex Beacon for medical appointments within the Brighton and Hove area, both accompanied by a member of staff and unaccompanied. To provide transport for clients within Brighton and Hove who would otherwise be unable to access the Day Service or Women’s Service. Volunteer receptionist Role purpose: To welcome and assist all guests arriving at The Sussex Beacon, ensuring that they have signed in and are met by the relevant staff member. To answer the telephone and deal with any subsequent enquiries. Deal with couriers delivering to and from the Beacon. Keeping the reception area orderly and tidy. Charity Shop Volunteer Main Purpose: Charity shop volunteers are based in our two charity shops and help with the day to day running of the shops. They interact with customers, help to process donations and purchases and are the frontline ambassadors of The Sussex Beacon and a key part of the fundraising team.
