Project 100

Positively UK and The Sussex Beacon will be delivering HIV peer support training in Brighton on 20, 21,23 of October 2017.

Peer Support at The Sussex Beacon:

The Sussex Beacon is happy to announce that their HIV Peer Mentor programme has recommenced following the appointment of a Peer Mentor Co-ordinator.

Peer support is a vital provision within the community and plays an essential role in enabling those living with HIV to sustain their long-term condition management, physically and emotionally. The training for volunteer peer mentors will be provided through Project 100, a service delivered by Positively UK.

The Peer Mentor programme is proud to have the support and commitment of local partners primarily from (amongst others):

  • The Lawson Unit
  • Community HIV Specialist Service
  • East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust
  • THT South
  • Lunch Positive
  • Peer Action

They will be essential in helping to both promote the service and to refer mentors and those seeking support.
