Fundraising Manager - Permanent Contract

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
(with some occasional evening / weekend work required)

Salary: £34,125 per annum

An exciting career opportunity has arisen within our fundraising team and we are seeking an experienced fundraising professional to join our staff on a permanent basis.

The Fundraising Manager will effectively manage all aspects of the Sussex Beacon Fundraising department, including fundraising events, donors and appeals and marketing/PR. You will be a passionate, professional and self motivated individual who is able to motivate staff to maximise fundraising income and raise organisational profile. You will also manage the Sussex Beacon’s Half Marathon, our largest event which attracted 8,000 runners this year.

D Nurses - Full Time (Rotation on to nights)
Salary: £21,318 - £24,831 per annum inclusive of enhancements for shift work

We currently have vacancies for Registered Nurses (D Grade Equivalent). Responsible for promoting a high standard of nursing care and inter-disciplinary team work; excellent communication skill and organisational ability are essential as is a willingness to engage in self development, supervision and educational opportunities. The ability to take initiative in both familiar and unexpected situations is also a key requirement. Specialist HIV/mental health experience an advantage.

Part time positions

Maintenance Assistant - Permanent Contract
25 hours per week, Monday to Friday (hours negotiable)
Salary: £10,140 per annum actual (based on £15,210 per annum pro rata)

As a key member of the facilities team you will be responsible for supporting and assisting with the smooth running of the maintenance department. In the absence of the facilities manager, to take responsibility for the day to day running of the maintenance function in liaison with the management team. Duties will be varied from undertaking minor non-electrical repairs to overseeing and planning work for the volunteer gardeners.

Salary: £6.59 ph

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our facilities team and we are now looking for Housekeepers on a Bank contract, (this is temporary work as and when required).

As a key member of the team, you will be required to support and assist the Facilities Manager and Housekeeping Team members, in the day to day cleaning and laundry services within the Housekeeping department. Ensuring the agreed quality standards of cleanliness and hygiene are met in line with local policy.

Current Vacancies

The Sussex Beacon currently has the following volunteer vacancies;

Reception work, Driving, Serving lunches, Serving evening meals.

We would like to organise a self supporting team of gardening volunteers, to help replant and look after the gardens. This would involve getting down on your hands and knees and getting dirty, but, we would support you with grateful thanks and very opportune cups of tea/coffee and biscuits. To keep the gardens looking good over the next few years, our gardening volunteers might want to do a bit of fundraising to keep the plants looking great all year round, but especially for our open days in the Garden Gadabout.
