Anxiety Management

Anxiety is a normal and natural reaction to something seen as stressful, dangerous, or threatening. Difficulties arise when the feelings of anxiety become excessive, resulting in restriction of our everyday activities. Our service aims to provide help for people who are HIV+ve and experiencing difficulties caused by anxiety.

We work closely with the HIV Psychology Service and other HIV services.

 

 

 

 

What does the service offer?

We work with you, to help you gain an understanding of:

  • How anxiety affects your body physically
  • How anxiety can change the way you think and feel about yourself
  • Identification of the causes of the anxiety, which may arise from life events, social changes and life experiences.
